Colours and Food @ Eat street Brisbane

Eat Street Brisbane

There is not much better than finding a great place to eat whilst you are away on holidays with the family. Combine that with great scenery, fairy lights and entertainment and you are set for the night.

Brisbane has a lot to boast about with attractions, activities and amazing places to eat, but when you arrive at Eat Street Brisbane, you have it all in one place.

Open every weekend of the year, Eat Street is a must-visit for when you are in visiting Brisbane and want to experience a bunch of different flavours from all over the world.

So what is Eat Street Brisbane all about?

Brisbane’s Eat Street is a unique experience for everyone. It’s built out of 180 dining and entertainment shipping containers situated along the river. There are blazing colours and statues that create a very impressive scene. Especially when it’s dark and when thousands of colourful little fairy lights illuminate the place.

Not only is there the chance to taste a range of different foods from all over the world, but there is also a range of different entertainment throughout the weekend.

There are live bands that play their music and they are set up within different sections of the streets means you can walk along and experience the different sounds throughout your visit.

There are jumping castles for the kids and lots of things to look at and experience when visiting with your family.

Eat Street Brisbane also have a number of different shopping vendors set up through the area as well. You can make your own candles, check out some art deco, purchase some organic tea and even pick up a gift for your furry friend waiting at home for you.

What about the food at Eat Street Brisbane

There are over 70 different vendors that make up the food and drink part of the Eat Street Experience. You can experience flavours from all over the world in one place. Whether you are looking for Asian cuisine, Italian, Australian or flavours from the USA you are sure to find something that tickles those taste buds. And why stop at one? Sample flavors from all different areas and choose which one you liked the best.

We loved tasting all the different food from various vendors. After filling up on the different foods, why not stop for an Asian beer or cocktail along the way.

The vendors at Eat Street Brisbane even have you covered for your dessert with an assortment of different chocolate and dessert carts around the place. This was our favourite part of Eat Street, together with Kombi Alley and the main stage where they had an amazing performance with thousands of little fairy lights.

What do you need to know before visiting Eat Street

The Eat Street festivities are on every weekend of the year from 4 pm to 10 pm on Friday and Saturdays and from 12 pm to 8 pm on Sundays. So there is plenty of time for you to wander around and get a taste of the whole area before heading home for the night.

Eat Street is located on the North Shore in Hamilton, Queensland and is very easily accessible via public transport or if you have a ( hire ) car (or are simply a local wanting to attend) you can drive to the area yourself with ease. Parking at Eat Street is available for free.

Eat Street is a concept known all over the world but the one in Brisbane definitely is sitting at the top of the list of peoples favourites.

They provide a fun and exciting atmosphere for the whole family whilst still giving you the chance to relax, unwind and enjoy a taste of different flavours of the world and chill to an assortment of different music.
