At the moment I am going through all my older travel adventure pictures and try to get them on the blog to share with you. Sometimes I just wish I started this blog from the beginning of my travels, but on the other side, looking back to the pictures and reading my scribbles of my trips brings back a lot of good memories.
In this article, I will show you 26 of my pictures from my work trip to the Algarve, Portugal. It’s been a few years ago, but I still remember this lovely destination like yesterday.
Invited by the Dutch tour operator Sudtours, we went on a 5-day trip to explore the region, the excursion possibilities and the best accommodations in the Algarve.
I really loved the Algarve and its Portuguese vibe. There are many nice and cozy villages with terraces where you can sip your port, little boutique shops, boulevards and beautiful beaches surrounded by rocks and wildflowers.
The beautiful hinterland of the Algarve is also definitely worth visiting. You will find these typical cute Portuguese villages with beautiful little white houses, fruit trees, older people who come together for a game of cards. Mountains in the background. I believe life in Portugal is just relaxed and easy going.
To explore the hinterland of the Algarve you can rent a car or go on a 4×4 Safari if you don’t want to drive yourself. A unique experience where you are going to discover the Algarve’s hidden secrets.
If you want to stay close to the coast and the beach, and just chill out, the Algarve has many villages to choose from.
For lot’s of shopping, eating and drinking you go to Albufeira or Praia da Oura, where you find the famous ‘Strip’ The place to be for a good party.
If you like it quiet, you go for places like Carvoeiro, Alvor, Olhos d’Agua or Armacao de Pera. Here you will find beautiful beaches, small streets, and centers.
One thing is for sure, the Algarve has lots to offer for everyone. Take a look at my pictures and let us know when you are packing your bags for your trip to Portugal 😉
