Sweden | Autumn getaway in Stockholm

Stockholm in Autumn
Stockholm in Autumn

Stockholm, the Capital City of Sweden is undoubtedly gorgeous in every season. I visited Stockholm in the Autumn month October and had the pleasure of witnessing beautiful autumn colors and feeling the coziness of hot chocolates, cold weather, and lovely happy people.

The Capital City of Sweden, has so much to offer. You will find a variety of culture, modern design, shopping, many inspiring & unique food concepts, restaurants, cafes, colorful events and friendly locals.

Although visiting Stockholm in Autumn, meant it was rainy, grey and cold most of the time, but Stockholm has a vibe which makes your day shiny, no matter what weather will be on the cards.

Stockholm is definitely welcoming and a must visit when considering an Autumn city trip in Europe.

Stockholm | City of Islands & Bridges

Stockholm is located in and around water and build on 14 islands and connected by 57 bridges which give this amazing city a romantic atmosphere. Make sure you do a boat tour to Discover Stockholm from the water!

No, this is not only for old people, in fact, this is for everyone a great opportunity to enjoy Stockholm from the waterside.

You can just sit and relax and enjoy all the beautiful cozy little houses along the water and Stockholm’s wonderful historical buildings from a different view.

Stockholm has a combination of very modern and very historical buildings, architecture and art.

Wander the small streets of Stockholm

Back on land, just wander through the small cobblestone streets of Stockholm, and explore the old buildings in the Gamla Stan, The Old Town or take the ( hop on hop of ) Stockholm bus. They also offer a combo ticket with Stockholm boat and Stockholm bus, which gives you the best opportunity to discover Stockholm in both ways. Find out more over here

Where to stay in Stockholm

Our recommendation:

Clarion Sign Hotel Stockholm

The Clarion Sign Hotel is a 4-star hotel with really good references in the middle of Stockholm. It’s located close to the subway station, 5 minutes walk from the Stockholm Central train station ( where most buses from and to Stockholm airport stop as well ) and 10-minute walk from Stockholm City Centre where you can shop until you drop on Swedish design ( not only Ikea! 😉 )

In the Hotel Area are also different shops, restaurants, and cafes. If you want to get some coffee and cafe inspiration, you are in the right city 😉

The cozy rooms at the Clarion Sign Hotel are light and modern with wi-fi, and a really comfy bed to relax in after a day of discovering everything Stockholm has to offer.

The next morning when you are having your breakfast, you will be in for a treat!

I was too busy with indulging myself in all the delicious food they offer for breakfast, that I completely forgot to take pictures! But believe me, when you are in Sweden and they offer fresh salmon for brekky, you know you are going to have the best and freshest Salmon on the menu.

If you are a bit of an active person in the morning, they also offer a gym, fitness center and even a jogging track. You can jump in the rooftop pool to cool down after your workout and enjoy the beautiful views from there.
